Description

The work consists of two square white boards: the first remains empty, while the second contains a single black point. The concept visualises the relation between “nothing” and “something,” between which the boundary remains blurred, since it is difficult to determine how much “something” is required for it to cease being “nothing.” The idea recalls the classical philosophical paradox of baldness: how many hairs must one lose before becoming bald? A similar operation of the imagination occurs, for example, when one attempts to imagine the vacuum of outer space, in which minute particles of matter still appear. The work has been executed as a digital print on paper mounted on a rigid support.
