After Stanisław Dróżdż’s death in 2009, his wife Anna Dróżdż became his sole heir, in accordance with the author’s will.

As founder, Anna Dróżdż established the STANISŁAW DRÓŻDŻ FOUNDATION in Wrocław, which was registered on 3 April 2025.

The aim of the Foundation is to deepen knowledge of and popularise the work of Stanisław Dróżdż in the context of European culture and to care for his legacy, in particular:

  1. research into the legacy of Stanisław Dróżdż and its popularisation,
  2. scientific and organisational support for cultural institutions, researchers, scholars, curators, artists, writers, and all those interested in studying the work and life of Stanisław Dróżdż, as well as related cultural, educational, and economic initiatives,
  3. popularisation and promotion of Polish contemporary art and literature in Poland and abroad, including the work of Stanisław Dróżdż,
  4. care for the artistic output of Stanisław Dróżdż remaining in public institutions, heirs’ holdings, and private collections,
  5. charitable activities for those in need, especially the sick.

The President of the Foundation is Anna Dróżdż, the artist’s widow.

The members of the Stanisław Dróżdż Foundation Council are:

  • Michał Głowala – Chairman of the Foundation Council
  • Martyna Pajączek
  • Elżbieta Siczek-Łubowicz
  • Sylwia Świsłocka-Karwot
  • Sławomir Ząbek.

After her husband’s death, Anna Dróżdż is the sole holder of the copyright to the works of Stanisław Dróżdż.

The use and disposal of Stanisław Dróżdż’s works in all fields of exploitation, in particular in the field of recording and reproduction of works and in the marketing of originals or copies on which the work has been fixed, require her knowledge and consent.

The author’s works that have not been sold or donated with certification of this fact in an appropriate agreement constitute deposits transferred by the author to an institution or a private person.

With regard to those works by Stanisław Dróżdż which have not only not been transferred on the basis of an agreement but also do not bear the author’s signature, it is proposed to initiate the procedure of obtaining a Certificate of Authenticity of the Work from the heir. Without such a certificate, no unsigned work will have the status of an original work. The Certificate of Authenticity will contain a signature indicating the number of a specific realisation of the work within a strictly limited series.

Since 2010, no gallery has had a signed agreement to represent the artist’s work.
