Description

A work composed of two square boards containing a regular arrangement of points: on the first board, three points horizontally and six vertically; on the second, points grouped in pairs filling the entire surface. The arrangement on the first board resembles the ordering of characters in Language and mathematics, while the second suggests the binary system used in computer programming languages. The work may be interpreted as visualising the difference between verbal language and computer language, indicating that both systems generate new meanings through permutations of signs. It has been presented as hand-placed dots on photographic paper and as a digital print.
