Description

Like life – death, this work is based on the principle of intersecting words. It therefore occupies an intermediate position between linguistic poetry composed of words arranged in verses, which Dróżdż practised before formulating the idea of concept-shapes, and concrete poetry. At the centre of the composition appears the word CZŁOWIEK (man), and the key to the meaning lies in recognising that the first and last letters of this word are also the first and last letters of the word KONIEC (end). The work thus belongs to the eschatological strand in Dróżdż’s oeuvre. There is no information about its exhibition history; it may have functioned only in the form of a publication.
