Untitled (question marks, exclamation marks)
Using the semantic functions of punctuation marks such as brackets, question marks and exclamation marks within a sentence, Dróżdż constructed a structure in which a non-existent verbal text may be imagined. Only its emotional meaning is conveyed through punctuation. One may infer the course of a narrative interrupted by digressions, interrogations and emphatic confirmations. This is another metalinguistic work. A variant with the signs arranged in lines within a column has also been created, with increasingly dense spacing and a growing number of columns, as well as an eight-panel version in which the signs are arranged in a circle on each panel, and eight such circles form a larger circle. The principle of arrangement is based on mathematical combination. The work has been presented as handwriting in ink on Bristol board, letters cut from foil and mounted on a rigid support, and as digital prints on paper mounted on a rigid support.
