Untitled (przy/e/szłość)

A work conceptually similar to Optimum – two words with opposite meanings differ by only one letter. In the word przyszłość (“future”), above the letter “y” there is the letter “e”, inverted and placed upside down, changing the word to przeszłość (“past”). This is another metalinguistic work reflecting on the remarkable structure of verbal language. By exploiting minimal differences in the structure of words associated with opposing concepts, it expresses profound philosophical meanings concerning the essence of the passage of time. The work has been presented in the form of a handwritten black-ink drawing on Bristol board.
