Untitled (alternative)

Based on a concept analogous to antipodes, the word “alternative” is written four times, yet none of the spellings is fully correct, as the letters undergo systematic alternation. In the first version, inverted letters appear between correctly oriented ones; in the second, correctly oriented letters appear between inverted ones. The next two spellings are placed beneath a horizontal line; after rotating the board by 180 degrees, the second spelling becomes identical to the first, and the two versions exchange positions. The work visualises the very notion of alternation and alternative. It has been executed as a digital print on paper mounted on a rigid support.
