Description

The work consists of the capital letters J, A, I, O, N, M, T, W, Y, arranged so as to form a labyrinth allowing movement in four directions: right and left, up and down, in such a way that all personal pronouns (ja – “I”, ty – “you”, on – “he”, ona – “she”, ono – “it”, my – “we”, wy – “you”, oni – “they”, one – “they”] can be constructed from them. In this manner, it visualises the multiple possibilities of establishing relationships between people, which can be expressed using only nine letters on a plane. The work has been presented as a typescript and as a board with letters handwritten in ink on Bristol board.
